Diverse Expressions by Suzanne

For the months of March and April, the Scandals East bar will feature the artwork of the multi-talented Suzanne, who you can also find hosting Karaoke in the bar every Tuesday.

Our 17th annual fundraiser will coincide with the Alberta Last Thursday Arts and Culture marketplace, opening on May 28th at 7pm.

All pieces will be sold for $40 with half of the proceeds going to the artist and half towards our PRIDE non-profits.

If you are an artist who would like to participate, here is what you need to do:

1. Pick up 1-5 pieces of pre-cut 8x8" recycled plywood from Scandals EAST at 827 NE Alberta on or after Monday, March 30

2. Create art!

3. Put your name on the back, along with a centered saw-tooth hanger 1.5" down from the top edge

4. Deliver your completed pieces to Scandals EAST no later than Tuesday, May 26

please note the important dates below.

• Monday, March 30 after 4pm: Wood will be ready to pick up

• Tuesday, May 26: Finished art is due by midnight

• Wednesday, May 27: The show will be hung

• Thursday, May 28 at 7pm: The show will be revealed and sales will begin

• Wednesday, June 24: The show closes

• Thursday June 25: Unsold art will be available for pick-up

• Tuesday, July 21: Money for art sold will be available.

• Monday, August 24: Last day to pick up unsold art. After this date, uncollected art will be considered donated.
